Toll Road and Parking Fees for Trolltunga
There is a toll road from P1 Tyssedal up to P2 Skjeggedal. The toll fee helps us ensure that all hikers have a safe and memorable hike to Trolltunga. The funds make it possible to build and maintain hiking trails, signs, and information boards, as well as two rescue shelters. We also operate a mountain ranger service and contribute to the maintenance of the road Skjeggedalsveien.
The parking fee is used to maintain the toilets and parking areas and to pay the parking attendants.

Passing Place Sign

Skjeggedalsvegen is a long and narrow road. Passing places are designated spots where the road is widened to allow two vehicles to pass each other safely.
When two vehicles approach a passing place, the vehicle that arrives first must stop—regardless of which side of the road the passing place is on—and wait for the oncoming vehicle to pass.
Passing places are strategically located to provide good visibility of oncoming traffic, allowing drivers to pull in well in advance.
Parking in passing places is strictly prohibited.
