Shuttle buses to Trolltunga 2024
There are shuttle buses between Odda, P1 Tyssedal and P2 Skjeggedal. From P2 Skjeggedal you can take a second bus up to P3 Mågelitopp, the uppermost parking lot.
If you start from the P2 parking lot in Skjeggedal, you should allow 8–12 hours for the 27-km round-trip hike to Trolltunga. You can also start from P3 Mågelitopp, allowing 7–10 hours for the now 20-km round-trip hike.

Shuttle buses between Odda, P1 Tyssedal and P2 Skjeggedal are operated by two different companies — Odda Taxi (OT) and Odda Buss (OB).
Return tickets are valid for the same company only, so please double-check your ticket issuer.

Return to Odda 2024
On the return journey from Skjeggedal, the bus makes the same stops as on the way up.

Shuttle bus between P2 Skjeggedal and P3 Mågelitopp
The road from P2 Skjeggedal to P3 Mågelitopp is a private toll road. At the top is a parking lot with room for 30 cars. If you start your hike from P3 Mågelitopp, you should allow 7–10 hours (including breaks) for the 20-km round-trip hike to Trolltunga: 10 km each way.
The shuttle buses between P2 Skjeggedal and P3 Mågelitopp are operated by the company Trolltunga-Road Bus. Starting your hike from P3 Mågelitopp will save you 1–1.5 hours each way. Daily departures.
NB. We advise you to start your hike early in the morning to make sure you catch the last evening bus from P3 Mågelitopp. Odda is a small town and often has a shortage of taxis, especially in the evening.

From P2 Skjeggedal
You can book tickets from P2 Skjeggedal up to P3 Mågelitopp. To avoid waiting in queue, buy your shuttle bus tickets online. (Half the tickets are made available online.) You can also purchase bus tickets at the ticket office at P2 Skjeggedal. The price includes a bus ticket from Skjeggedal to Mågelitopp, price per person, one-way, no seat reservation.
Pre-booking on departures from P2 Skjeggedal only.
NB! 16–29 September
You can purchase tickets only at the ticket office in Skjeggedal. No pre-booking.
From P3 Mågelitopp
Because it is difficult to foresee exactly how long your Trolltunga hike will take, the return ticket is sold at the ticket office in P2 Skjeggedal after you have returned to P2 Skjeggedal. No pre-booking.
